Fire Drill/Escape talk or BS??

Today our dept had a fire drill/escape talk by our colleague, J, the fire coordinator. The talk was so ‘interesting’ that i could sleep and J did not even prepare beforehand and getting his facts right. People had to keep correcting him on things. 

Example 1: Most fire exits in our dept are control by the fire alrams and opens automatically when the fire alarms goes off. However, there are a few that are manually locked due to the system being spolit at those doors. He didnt even find out about it and told us that we can exit from those doors when we needed keys for those doors.

Example 2: He didnt know how to use the fire hose and tried to smoke through. People asked him about how to turn on the hose, how long can the hose extend to, etc. He couldnt answer and the director even asked him ‘Why didnt you prepare or know beforehand? You are supposed to know all this before talking to us.” I had to teach him how to use the fire hose. People had to asked him to try the firehose so that he knows how to use it.

Example 3: One of my colleague asked a question ‘What if we have problem walking when we injured or like the cleaner who has a walking problem?’ His reply was ‘Then you should be at home. If you are at work then u stay behind and wait for rescue. Same for the cleaner. I’m supposed to be the 1st to leave the office so that I can be at the evacuation point to do the headcount. I can’t stay and help. I’m only a coordinator’ What a nice answer. I really love this. So we are supposed to burn to death while waiting for rescue.

I don’t know what goes through his mind other than eating and thinking of himself.

My colleagues commented immediately after the talk. The exact words were ‘Waste of time!’ Right on. Wasted my time and made me leave my Ney alone for so long.

310509 Arrival of Baby Alicia

310509 was the birth date of baby Alicia, Jason and Anne’s daughter. What a surprise as she arrived earlier than expected. All of us were informed that Anne will be giving birth on the 2nd of June. So you could imagine the surprise we had when we were told about it. Alicia is one cute baby – maybe because she knows her dad is a photography freak so needs to be cute to catch her dad’s attention. 030609 Deputy Director’s Farewell

Yesterday our department had a little farewell party for our Deputy Director. She did not joined us for a very long time yet I didn’t realised she has already been here for 5mths. She is leaving cause she was offered a Director post in her our department. We had Delifrance and fruit platter. She even made mooncakes and bought us gifts. Mine is below. Opps! Photoshop course today & tomorrow…

Am having internal course provided by my organisation today & tomorrow. This particular course is on Adobe Photoshop CS 3. Learned some basics on using the program. And decided to post my first project we did in the training today. Will upload more projects soon and also start some photo editing on my own after this course. Nvr thought it would be so much fun. Lol.

Long awaited update…

Lol. Just realised the last post was on 20th March. Haiz. Life is so boring. I don’t know wat to add here. Have been doing things but it seems so ‘bo liao’ to put them here.

Anyway, took some time to meet Raymond and Yunsheng for dinner/supper. It has been so long since I met up with Raymond. The last time was like on his wedding last year in Oct. Got some updates from him and updated him about my life. Lol. Some old advice from him also. La la la la….

Again time to end. Haha. Wait till I have something exciting to update again.

Me Backstabbing???

Woo hoo. One of my colleague, J, was called in to a meeting with both Directors. Stormed out of the room and came into the General Office and started raising his voice and saying ppl complaint and backstabbed him. Lol all the while looking at me. He even pointed out one of my other colleague as my accomplice. The following was more or less what he say in the GO:

‘ Wah! Some ppl dun like mi. Backstabbed and complaint about me. Must be jealous of me. Dun need to say names. U should know who u r. Another one is the one sitting near the pantry. ‘

All these was said while looking at me. And you said no need to mention names, den you mention the location of the person lo. Stupid fool. Worse still, i heard he went upstairs back to his office to kick up a fuss that everyone came to see his performance. I was in the walkway outside his office when he stormed out and said ‘ I dun wan to say anymore! ‘

How can I backstab you when I didnt even say anything to the Directors. All I did was to give u advice and u did not even appreciate it and even said ‘ You so smart! You come and teach! ‘ If you have been doing a good job, why should the Directors request for your training sessions to be recorded for review? Of course they talk to you cause they find something wrong with your teaching through the video. So how can you accuse us of backstabbing you? And for what I backstab you? I got to record all your training from now on. I gotta take on the extra work so why I backstab you?

140309 – Bro’s bday

Today was my bro’s bday but he was working so we had to eat at the hawker he was working at. Ayer Rajah Food Centre was where his dessert store was at. We ordered alot of food and enjoyed ourselves. I even ordered beer. Too bad I drank alone.

One trend I noticed was that when we doing nothing, no one came to order. But once we sat down for dinner, people kept coming. Lol. Some even came after we swtiched off the lights and closing up. How did they failed to see us cleaning and closing???

Running session 1…

• 20 x sit-up.
